Little Time...

Not a lot of times, things are gettin' intense. Just moved inta Marek's old room, not first mate anymore. It's turned out it's not really my thing. I'm used to workin' on my own, not having to think for more than myself or maybe one other comrade. Tryin' ta keep track of 4 others and myself? I'm no officer. I can do what I do best without havin' ta think about anything else but the job on hand. An' right now, that job ta me is findin' Ginger an' hopin' that Ninja Girl or anybody else ain't found her already. But, th' Captains' gonna help, an that's good. Doubt she's gonna talk, so I need ta see if Amelie can find her ship, I'm hopin' the beacon will help with that. Otherwise, it's goin' ta see if she's at work or at home. If anybody has her, there's hell ta pay.

First Impressions

A couple of notes to myself, before sittin' down with the captain to talk business. Seems like Kampashi has helped put together a pretty fine crew for the captain.

Speakin' of, the captain seems like a fine enough fellow himself. Seems like he thinks the war might still be goin' on. Not to say that more than a few do too, but seems like the captain's been away and hasn't kept up with the goin' ons of the verse. Seems a might afraid the Browncoats are gonna attack the ship at any time. Said he was on a ship before, I'll have to look inta that. Seems a solid fellow none the less, just a little behind the times. Damn fine cook, too.

Gwyn, Lakshmi and Amelie all seem nice enough too. Even if they are a touch green. I have a feelin' they're gonna need some lookin' after so they don't wander off and get themselves in a heap o' trouble cause they don't know better. All of 'em smart, smarter than me, no doubt about it. Gwyn and Amelie will keep this ship flyin' and Lakshmi should be able to keep us fit and in fightin' shape.

Leaves us with Marek. Fool almost got himself shot the first time he showed his face. He deserves some special attention. He's quiet. Either he's the smart type, a thinker, that knows when not to talk. Takes things in and then makes up his mind. Or, more likely, the type that thinks he's smarter than you. Don't know, but seems to me he might go getting us in trouble. Don't know how, it's just my gut feeling. Hopefully he's a better pilot than he is a people person. Time will tell on that one. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now, but I'll still keep an eye on 'im.
